What you'll do
In this fun and relaxing class, you can choose between 2 techniques:
1. By Handbuilding Technique.
Learn the basics of handbuilding and surface decoration. You make functional dishes, decorative tiles and sculpture. Coil, slab and pinch construction is covered along with slip painting, sgraffito, image transfer and stenciling techniques.
2. By Wheel-Throwing Technique.
Learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more. Wedging, centering, pulling, lifting and trimming are demonstrated, and basic surface decoration techniques are also explored.
This class is designed for student with little or no experience on the potter's wheel - beginners most welcome
