Well, I started my handcrafted skincare journey in the year 2012 with lip balms and soaps. I used to make melt and pour soaps of various flavors along with some exotic lip balms like jaggery and beetroot. Once I got a strong hold on these formulations, I wanted to learn more about lotions and butters. By then, I had finished my post-graduation and also started learning handcrafted lotion making and many more butter formulas. I took a two-year break from 2018 to 2020 for my job, where I earned and saved lots of money and started my own small skincare brand at the end of 2020. During these years, I learned to make soaps, balms, butters, bars, and lotions. Now I wanted to have a strong hold on cleansing products like shampoos and shower gels. By 2021, my clients started asking me for more advanced formulations like serums and tonics. I did a lot of workshops in India and outside India to develop my skills and also finished a diploma in haircare product making from Nigeria. I started teaching online classes in 2021. I have a student base of over 800, and I mainly teach all kinds of skincare and haircare product making, approximately 20 different categories. Teaching skincare is an art for me as I have to explain cosmetic science to my students in the most friendly and easy manner so that not only do my students develop the confidence in making skincare products, but they also never let the spark in them die towards handcrafted skincare making. Now in 2024, I am focused on teaching skincare making, doing research for companies in the development of products, and making beautiful and effective handcrafted skincare products for my dear clientele.
