Hi, I’m Nine, the founder of Typer.
Chaiwat Sriwilard, 24, taught himself to write calligraphy in February 2015. The visual communication design graduate from Silpakorn University took up calligraphy to impress a crush in a land far away. In the end, the crush didn’t return his affection, but she’d left him a greater gift. He didn’t know he would end up falling for the art form and quitting his job to teach others the craft. In a year, he found himself teaching the art of hand lettering to over 500 students.
