Hi! I'm Mona - I started deep diving into the world of tea when I entered the U.S. tea industry in 2013. It was my dream to volunteer on a tea farm, so I made that happen in 2018, and I haven't looked back since! I was so inspired by the craft, stories, culture, dedication, and nature at the tea origins, and I wanted to share everything I learned. With a backpack filled with tea and a dream to share good tea, I started my business. Since then I've visited over 15 different tea farms and villages across Asia (in China, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, India, northern Thailand, and more), each time showcasing tea growers' signature teas and local stories with hundreds of tea lovers around the world. I started hosting online tea tasting experiences in the pandemic, as a way for people to enjoy tea and its origin stories from the comforts of their home. Since then I have hosted over 50 virtual team bonding experiences for companies like Spotify, Amazon, Figma and more! I am also the creator of an online course, helping hundreds of individuals learn about tea and make tea drinking culture more accessible. Tea is my passion and I love teaching people about the historical traditions and cultural significance of tea beyond the conventional teabag. My favorite thing is when I've inspired someone who has never brewed loose leaf tea before to get into tea, or changed someone's perspective. Having grown up in Hong Kong with a knowledge of Chinese language and culture, I hope I can offer a unique perspective that highlights tea growers and their craft.
