What you'll do
In this workshop, you'll learn to write the modern Thai alphabet, with a brush pen. You'll learn to grip and put weight on the pen appropriately to write Thai characters, including the decorative lines that make it distinctive.
You'll finish off with some colour mixing to create artistic effects.
A great way for you to develop and nourish your creative side and have a fun and relaxing experience.

We are an art and design studio specialising in hand calligraphy and lettering. Come and join our workshop, dance with letters by your own hands :)
Mimin studio was founded by Kuk กุ๊ก, graphic designer and Panx แป้ง, architect. The couple have shared their passion and interest in modern calligraphy as hobby. After five years of self-learning, they realised that they have so much to share to the like-minded enthusiasts. Therefore, Mimin started to share their love of calligraphy in the workshop firstly held in Bangkok in Oct 2016.
The main objective of every workshop is to make people happy with what they love to do. They know that every attendant comes together with strong passion and motivation to learn. By presenting guidelines and techniques in small class, the workshop attendants will develop skills correctly in fun and friendly atmosphere. Kru-Kuk and Kru-Panx always make sure that everyone enjoys their little world of calligraphy and after the class, they still want to continue their journey of this life-long learning by hand and heart.
Approaching 800 attendants in Oct 2017, Mimin studio now organises various kinds of calligraphy and lettering workshops in Bangkok and Chiangmai, Thailand. The attendants are aged between 6-74 years old. This really proves that no one is too old to learn.
Apart from teaching, they have worked for private events and got commissioned works for wedding invitations and logo designs.
